Christian Apparel - Choosing Great Christian T-Shirts

Of the Christian apparel available on the market, there are some ‘Christian’ t-shirts which I feel are designed in bad taste and are even insulting to Christianity. To be a Christian is to be a follower of Christ, a Christ-like one. Some of the messages on those so called ‘Christian’ t-shirts out there are outright harsh and insensitive, and certainly not Christ-like at all. You also don’t want a low quality cheesy product that does nothing to win people over while giving them a bad impression of you and Christians in general.

When choosing Christian t-shirts, you may want to first consider the message it sends, and whether or not it represents Christianity in a positive way. Christian apparel can be a really dynamic tool for lifestyle evangelism. If a Christian t-shirt is well designed and the message it carries is a positive one, encouraging, edifying and building up the morale of people who read it, then it has a high chance of effectively reaching out to people. However a so called ‘Christian’ t-shirt with a message that is plain cheesy, insulting or putting people down is not exactly the winsome approach that would lead people to Christ. As you can see, this is key in determining whether a Christian t-shirt evokes positive or negative reponses from its viewers.

For this reason, I strongly believe that a good and well designed message, sharing the boundless goodness and the amazing grace of our awesome God, is what makes Christian t-shirts truly great.
